Zoo Run Run

Well, we did it. Ella and I managed to finish the Zoo Run Run 5k on Saturday. Despite the cooler weather and the fact that there was music playing and she said "I don't know how I am going to run when I just want to dance" she did great. About 1/4 of a mile into it she wanted me to carry her and she did not want to walk or run "another step". However, things turned around. She kept me very entertained. I had to explain what mating was, Ella cried once, sat on a bench, checked out a white tiger and found a big rock to rest on too. Overall it was a very enjoyable 58 mins and 42 seconds. We even stopped to take some pictures.

Website

Hey all, the website for the blog book is www.blurb.com. I watched the instructional video they had. It looks like you can make it as easy or hard as you like. There are probably other sites too.

Today

I found a website that turns your blog into a book. It looks pretty neat and affordable. Since I have scrapped the scrap booking and I am completely incapable of keeping a journal I am going to try it. If this is the case, I am going to post more things that are probably going to be pretty uninteresting to most but things that I would like to remember. This is the story today.

As today was not really exciting, it is after all only 11:08, there were a couple of funny moments this morning. It began with Jude needing to "go potty". That is code for Jude free time in the bathroom "washing hands" or playing in the sink. Under normal circumstances it is okay and at least his hands are clean for a couple of minutes. This morning he managed to get the door closed AND locked. Jonathan decided sink time was over and tried to go in there. Of course with the door being locked it was not happening. After several "Jude come out right now", a few "Unlock this door", some "You are going to get a spanking" and even two "I am going to count to ten", the standoff was over (not because Jude unlocked the door but because Jonathan found the key) and ended in the use of the Very Sad Spanking Spoon! I thought this was hilarious and had I not been running late and trying to get ready I would have gotten out my video camera to show everyone exactly how it is done!

Also this morning on the way to school Ella was trying to explain to Jude that they were kids. Jude does not like nicknames so much (he has about 10) and always reminds us that "I'M JUDE!" The whole kid thing did not go over well as he adamantly declared that he was in fact Jude and then added on - not a kitchen! Jude is easily confused with words. He also calls Ella's Hello Kitty diary her "Hello Kitty diarrhea".

Mimi and Pops Visit

Mimi and Pops are paying us a visit this week. Pops has been PUT TO WORK at the office. He has added cabinets and a sink to the third operatory thus making it functional! He is also adding more cabinets today trying to make us functional (organized really). Mimi has been busy with the kiddos. Ella has been sick too and with Jude's doctor appointment yesterday I would leave one at home while I ran the other one to the doctor. Thank goodness for Mimi! Tonight we are heading to Chuck E Cheese after work. It is beginning to look like we need to buy some Chuck E Cheese stock!

Jude

Jude's follow-up doctor appointment at Vanderbilt was yesterday and he passed with flying colors. He gave the intern and doctor "big kiss and hug" before we left. The normal results of the EEG cancelled out anything that was abnormal on the MRI. Trips to Vanderbilt always leave me very thankful that my children are as healthy as they are. God is great!

Old Video

I found this while going through old pictures on my computer. We are trying to take some off our computer so I had to look at them one last time. This is Ella the January after she turned 3...oh how time flies!

Grownup Party at Chuck E Cheese

Debbie and I took our children to Chuck E Cheese today. Ella thought that it was for our birthday (mine and Debbie's) which is tomorrow. Here are some pictures of us. For the record, Debbie did beat me in skiball but I took her down in a game of basketball. There were extra obstacles as we were in our competitive games - dodging children trying to get tickets, children swiping balls and children just generally getting in our way! I mean what were they thinking - is this some place for kids?! We are going to get to enjoy an adult dinner tomorrow night!
