Action Packed Saturday

Well, still no picture of the kids in front of the sign. I actually did get one of Ella - while Jude was crying face down in the yard - but I deleted it by accident...maybe tomorrow. Today was full of action though. We took the kids to a WHCA football game in the extreme heat where Ella had a great time with the cheerleaders. Jude was pretty content to sit and eat a ring pop. We had our first "lookers" at our house - also on the first day it was not clean so I had to run home and get it ready. Naps were taken by everyone then Belle (Ella) and Prince Charming (Jude) went to a Princess Riley's birthday party. Several cupcakes later I am settling them down for a movie before bed.....Jonathan has run to the office for an emergency extraction. Of course he has to rely on the help of our friend as an assistant since the last time I assisted I dry heaved into the trash can next to the patient! Tomorrow we will rest.

I keep thinking I will get a second to take a picture in front of the massive for sale sign in our yard but I keep forgetting. Hopefully tonight I can get that done. Ella is beginning to process all of this moving stuff and the first question she asked was "are we going to stay in America?". I told her we were and she was quite relieved that we did not have to "switch countries". She next asked if we could take her clothes - yes, her kitty - yes, her bed - um no...one of the only things we CAN'T take (for those of you that have not seen her bed, it is built into the wall). She is okay with the idea of getting a new one. She loves to shop - must have gotten that from her dad!

Girls (and Jude) Just Want To Have Fun!!

Jude and Ella had a great time at their friend Jenna's High School Musical 2 slumber party last night. We left before the underwear was frozen and any other craziness began. It was crazy enough for me though! There were around 18 girls.... Ella loved all the girls and she got her face made up so she loved that too. Jude had his pick and was in the middle of it all. Luckily he did have his Chick Magnet shirt on. He loved going around showing is "Ah Nuts" tattoo.

House Update

Our realtor called last night and the owner's accepted the contract as written. We are giving them our earnest money tomorrow when she comes over to list our house. My concerns:

1.) I will not be able to keep my house clean everyday for potential "lookers".
2.) There are 15 other houses in our neighborhood for sale.
3.) I will not be able to keep my house clean.....

We have both put lots of though and prayer into this. If it is meant to work out then it will and if not we will explore other options.

Too Much HGTV!!

I feel certain that my 24 hour marathon of Flip This House has come back to haunt me! Jonathan and I put a contract on a house yesterday that was built in 1919 (that we are planning on renovating and living in). The outside has been kept up but the inside is begging for some renovation. We are second in line with the contract and have to wait until September 18th to see if the City of White House will approve the other couple to keep horses on the property - it is 3 acres. It seems to be the general consensus that the answer to that will be no. We are keeping our fingers crossed. If we get the house the lead paint in the Dora and Diego toys that FLOOD our house will be nothing compared to the walls of the house! Everyone keep your fingers crossed!!

Jude's First Day

Well, the day Jude has been dreading arrived - going to SCHOOL!!! He has been saying "nope" and "no thank you" to school for the past two weeks. There were a few tears shed - some by him, some by me... He did well though and got a great report for the day. Next to lunch on his report card he had a smiley face. I am not sure if that means he ate all of his lunch and his neighbor's lunch or if he was happiest during lunch! He does not intend to go back but I think overall it was a success. Here are a couple of pictures of the production.

Another Monday

This Monday we emptied the piggy banks and took our money to the "big bank" and deposited it into our savings accounts. The main attraction at the bank of course was the suckers. After the bank and a few other errands (first day of school teacher bribes - I mean presents) we went to Chuck E Cheese. This was great for a Monday in 105 degree weather. They had fun and we ended up with some great presents - 2 rings and 3 tootsie rolls (and a frog that was torn up by the time we got to the parking lot).

Potty Time

As you can see from the pictures we are beginning to start the exciting task of....Potty Training! Jude only recently realized exactly how to manage that task. What seems to be working for us is giving Jude AND Ella M&Ms when he goes. She gets very excited for him (only because she is getting a treat too) and reminds him that he needs to go. He has been doing great. If we can only keep him from taking off his diaper at night....
